Suci Sonnier was born and raised in the Antelope Valley region of Southern California. Suci joined the U.S. Air Force at seventeen and served nine year active-duty. Her primary duty was Operations Resource Management for both U.S. Space Command and Air Mobility Command (AMC). She served in support of Operation Desert Storm. Suci and her
Suci Sonnier was born and raised in the Antelope Valley region of Southern California. Suci joined the U.S. Air Force at seventeen and served nine year active-duty. Her primary duty was Operations Resource Management for both U.S. Space Command and Air Mobility Command (AMC). She served in support of Operation Desert Storm. Suci and her family relocated to Bend, OR in 1994 at the end of her enlistment.
Suci left her career in the utility industry to pursue her passion for working with veterans and first responders. Suci graduated summa cum laude from Oregon State University earning a B.S. in psychology and went on to earn a Master of Social Work degree from Portland State University.
Suci has provided trauma counseling in several agency and private practice settings. Suci has worked with military and non-military individuals, couples, families and groups. Suci worked at Warm Springs Community Counseling Center as a Qualified Mental Health Associate providing behavioral health services to the Warm Springs community. Additionally, Suci worked at both the Central Oregon Vet Center as a Readjustment Counseling Therapist and Still Serving Counseling and Services, LLC as a Behavior Health Clinician, helping community members, veterans, current service members and their families overcome the impact PTSD has had on their lives.
Suci’s passion is helping veterans, first responders and their loved ones who have been affected by trauma regain control of their lives. She was a founding member of Central Oregon Community College’s Veterans Club, Central Oregon Community College and Oregon State University's Pyschology clubs, and was the 2014 Nova Volunteer of the Year for Central Oregon Veteran Outreach.
Suci is thrilled to continue to follow her passion of working with, and for, military, non-military, veterans, first responders and their families.
Suci earned her credential as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and provides individual, couples, and family counseling to help reduce the impact trauma and anxiety have on an individual’s life. Suci is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
